Waiting for a Region Handshake (cant log in Monday 8:30am)

Hi people,

anyone else not able to log in this morning? It says there's 37000+ online, but I can't seem to log in. It keeps trying to log, but stops at "waiting for region handshake"
then gives me "unable to connect"

My inventory is not loading quickly and notecards are painstakingly taking a bit of time to open.

I've had no out-of-the-ordinary problems today, but I noticed as I was looking out over the landscape that the neighboring region of Ubu seems to have disappeared. Though it shows on the big map, the mini map has a blank spot where it was, the island and buildings are gone and you can't right click to see who owns it. Maybe there are other regions down as well.

Well, http://www.internettrafficreport.com/namerica.htm seems to be showing problems in the Palo Alto and Dallas areas.

Have you tried changing your 'Start Location' in Preferences/General?.

I logged off at 830 pm sl time ...it was slow to do every thing especially attatching clothes etc. Now trying to get back in at 9pm sl and its "waiting for region handshake" grrrr
