Crash When Trying To Upload Texture

Hi, I've been trying to upload textures tonight but every time I attempt to , I crash. I usually manage fine so does anyone have any idea why it could be happening?

This happened a lot to me on my old XP box as well, which was nearing the end of its useful life. From another comment linked in a related Jira, I have an educated guess that its a memory/resource issue. My old computer was most prone to doing this when there was a lot of lag on the system.

A couple of common causes for upload crashes:

- Make sure that the file names contain only ASCII (English letters, numbers, punctuation), the viewer doesn't always handle other names right.

- If you're running Windows, and are trying to use bulk upload, you need to move fast. Bulk upload halts the rest of the viewer when the dialog is up, and your session can get disconnected. (IIRC this was also a problem for single file uploads but those usually go faster so the bug won't get in the way)
