Okay, that's it.

After much contemplation, debate and analysis, the Progressives have won the day, and thus I am forced to admit that there is a place for the more risque side of life. So I am considering a place on the grid where one might actually *see* a flash of ankle, or a lady might even (gasp!) smoke with the men.

Now, this is a huge departure from our Oh So Proper history, but in these modern times, one must be flexible.

You're falling into the mindset of the Company overlords. Why have an Adult region in gentle Caledon...when the same sort of nasty, unmentionable activities are *already* going on in that fair land?

Caledonians are a very crafty lot, it's true. Much of the activity is clandestine...conducted behind closed doors, and in private IM. But hints leak out here and there...

Like the "School for Ladies' Maids"...with a spanking chair hidden away in an upstairs bedroom. And a bed that gives cuffs when asked.

Or the "lab" with some questionable poseballs hovering near the Infernal Machine.

Or the Green Fairy Pub in Sky City. What goes ON there, anyway, in the wee hours when there are few about?

One is also tempted to speculate with raised eyebrow on a culture that prominently features both full skirts for ladies...and dwarfs and tinies. It could well be that milady's skirts are hiding more than just her limbs.

The big secret about Caledon is that for three years various people have tried to get 'other' businesses to take off there... but it never seems to work!

You'd think that *something* might eventually go! But I think the problem is that just about everyone knows everyone else by either direct association, or one degree of separation. And like a small town, the slightest *hint* of something is instant gossip.

I hear there's a thriving Victorian bordello on the mainland somewhere (the Pearl), but that sort of thing has never worked out in Caledon (to my knowledge).

I'm excited to announce that the New Champagne Rooms also has opened a new branch in the Victorian Steampunk sim of New Babbage. This venue will be a bit more focused towards Vaudeville acts, but our lovely Champagne Ladies will also be making an appearance there from time to time too! It seems then that the Victorians of Caledon are lagging somwhat btween the Victoians of London in 1857.

those of us on mature land on private sims are double screwed, cos we can't move to Ursula for free, we have to pay for it!

Not to mention most of us don't want to move, we like where we are, and things were just fine before.

I said it before, I say it again.

I will simply leave SL before I will leave Caledon. I'll probably never leave Caledon as long as there's a Caledon, but I don't know if I will continue selling if they make it hard to impossible for me to do so in Caledon.

I predict it will be a lot like "Mature" land is today.

It is the PG and Mature land on the old continents that will be changing.


Thus why it would have been so much easier to just move the people who didn't want to be exposed to Adult content.
