Hello everyone.
I am having a rather odd problem in secondlife and i hope there might be someone here that can help me understand why this is happening and possibly help me resolve the problem or at least point me in the right direction.
I sell prefab clubs and accessories in secondlife.I own a class 5 sim where my business is located. I have two types of vendors i use.
I use the vendbob delux vendor to rez my prefab clubs, and Furniture Rezzing Vendor M1 NT C that are used to rez the furniture i sell.
The problem I am having is anytime i am not in my sim or if i am offline no one can use my vendors. As soon as I log into secondlife and or return to my sim where they are located they start working fine for my customers again.
As you can imagine having to stay logged into secondlife 24 hrs a day and being forced to stay in my sim they are located on in order for them to function correctly is rather odd and really restricts my time and commitment to others.
If anyone knows anything or maybe have encountered the same type of problems I would greatly appriciate your input here on how to resolve this issue.
Thanks to all in advance. Sincerely, Amun Miles

There have been a few vendor issues lately. In one example I have a vendor that sells someone else's products, I noticed it wasn't paying them commission and told them so. We took the vendor to their land and it worked perfectly. Since then it seems erratic to say the least. The vendor is set to the right group, hmm maybe group settings are borked, is your land group owned? Some scripts won't function correctly if group settings are borked, Hippo for example gives me an error message if i drop a rental box and I'm wearing the wrong group tag.
I had an issue some months ago with a tenant whose teleport device wouldn't allow people to teleport consistently if he wasn't online, whenever he was online it worked perfectly, this sounds similar to the issue you're experiencing but alas we never did get to the bottom of the problem.
I'm assuming you've reset the sim, when did the problem start and what version of the server software does your sim have (they're rolling out a new version, not sure if it's complete yet).

are you dropping these things with your group tag on or deeding these things to the group or land.. i remember we had a problem with tip jars and every time the owner would go offline the jars would not work and when he came back on you would be logged in ..you couldn't log out when he was off line also..
check to see if they are part of the group in the permissions..

Very likely that it's a group-owned land problem. Both vendors seem to be rezzing vendors, and so they might call llGetParcelPrimCount() and compare it to llGetParcelMaxPrims() to see if there's headroom in which to rez the target object. The problem is that the first of these (as well as llGetParcelPrimOwners()) seems to only work in an object owned by the parcel owner, or in the case of group-owned land, either deeded to that group or while some group member with the right permissions is in the sim.
So, hmmm. If indeed the land is group-owned and the vendors have transfer permission, you could try deeding them to group, but that shouldn't work at all if they request permission to take money from the owner (e.g., to refund if somebody pays the wrong amount), and of course proceeds from a group-deeded vendor would go to the group.
But I've never used group-deeded vendors; it sounds fraught with trouble. Might be easier to just make the land and script be owned by an individual, or get the scripters behind these vendors to figure out what they did wrong.
