I run Vista 64 with 8800gtx and 4gb ram. The memory leak from SL both old and RC is really quick. like every 1 or 2 hours i must restart it or crash.
My love, and her sister can run it on XP 32 bit for several hours without the big memory leak crashing them.

Might possibly be a difference in graphics settings. I'd be especially suspicious about OpenGL Vertex Buffer Objects. Or switch to Linux. Not that it fixes the memory leak, but it does solve that pesky problem of remaining logged in for several hours.

I run on VIsta 32 bit and have VERY little trouble with memory leaks. I can run up to 4 clients simultaneous for about 5 hours before hitting problems.

I freely admit to not knowing much about what a true 'memory leak' is. Just as 'clear cache' seems to be overly used as solution to any and all problems, 'memory leak' seems to be blamed for all sorts of things. Since I'm not very techy, I couldn't say either way.
I use the Mac OS (10.4.11) and for the most part, haven't experienced many crashes, just a few times directly to desk top. As for the new RC 3, after an hour, my whole system froze and I couldn't even Force Quit. I also freeze a lot. Since the RC 2, logging off takes a very long time. I'm not sure if these problems are related to memory leaks.
In the reg viewer, logging off is instantaneous, and freezing is rare. I also usually run a few different apps + browser at the same time.
