I just installed emerald viewer and every time I log into it I get the message *Could not read the specified Config Notecard* What does that mean? Plus I usually have to redo my settings every time i log in and it gets pretty annoying.
When I installed from the website here http://modularsystems.sl/index.php?option=com_phocadownload&view=category&id=1:installer-win&Itemid=5 It said to install a Proprietary Pack and one setup pack so I did, I used the opto one for windows. Did i just get a bad install or is it the actual viewer that has the issue. Any help on this is much appreciated.

It is for the new built-in AO. It is telling you that you don't have an AO notecard loaded. If you don't want to use that feature, you can just ignore the message.
I've never had Emerald reset my preferences so can't address that. _____________________

There's a new version of Emerald Viewer out, maybe that would help. Call me paranoid but I am leery of downloading an Emerald viewer from some place besides Modular Systems. WHERE: * ONLY get Emerald from THIS web site. The code is open source, which mean anyone can recompile it and put anything nasty they want in it. * If you do not follow this rule, you put yourself at grave risk of o Getting your password stolen o Having your IMs read o Giving someone access to your computer o YOUR VIRUS PROTECTION WILL NOT STOP THESE, because you would have installed their virus yourself. * We will be digitally signing our releases so you can verify that one of us created the binary you downloaded, and that it was not modified (see that section of the downloads) The official version is still .904 on the downlaod page. _____________________

ya it's pretty interesting looking around it..they have early tests on things like the AO and stuff..even a video..i tracked it back as far as march 30th just looking at some of the coolies hehehehe

Sorry for the worry but I am not a very trusting person especially where the internet is concerned oh i can understand how you feel.. i looked around for a bit myself before downloading cause i didn't see it on the modular site.. i ended up getting addicted to reading back on the stuff they were working on lol _____________________
