Not showing up in my own group?

So, I just made a group for myself and someone else. I'm working on the settings, and noticed I was Owner, Officer, and Member, all three.

I didn't want to be Officer as well, so I unchecked that box. When I did, the group seemed to reset. It now says it was founded by nobody, the logo reset, and the charter reset. Added to that, I no longer show up in the member list, even though I still have the group active and the title is still on me.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Just curious, but why does it matter if you are in the other roles as well as Owner?

Wait a day. Groups sometimes don't work right until they get indexed for some reason. I had a similar difficulty with a few of my own - a day later, all was good.
