I have added illustrations in this post. For some reason, I keep getting Cavewoman Brow. You can see what I mean in this first picture: http://www.flickr.com/photos/32230759@N08/3009344865I looked in 'worn' in inventory. There is nothing that shouldn't be there. I have tried different brows, different bald caps, I've tried different things in Appearance edit, I have no idea what is going on. I think this started with a bad freebie skin. Since you can't really detach skins, but layer them over other ones, maybe the bad skin is still on there and showing through other skins. With some skins the cavewoman Big Brow is hidden. But with other skins, it shows completely (see above, and that is just one skin; it does this with many of various artists). And with still other skins it shows up as a shadow: http://www.flickr.com/photos/32230759@N08/3010180674Great, huh? Can anyone help me with this? I even went to Second Skin and wore their default skin, hoping that put me back to zero. But no, the brow showed through that one too. I'm limited to a few skins which cover Cavewoman Brow over. Really annoying.

it is actually the bald hair base
if you create a new system hair, and use a totally clear texture on it, you should not have those issues
if you do not have the totally clear (alpha) texture, or not sure how to make a bald hair base, check some hair packages you might have (if you have any prim hair) they might (should) have a bald hair base
just put the bald base on and the unibrow problem should go away. I will log in and drop a bald base on you, to try and see if it solves it.
If you are still having issues, contact me in world and I will assist if I can
skins do not overlay each other
we have our base skin (we all have a newbie base skin, it is called ruth) that is under all of us
then over that we layer the custom skins... (tattoo layers in the appearance mode menu) then over that goes the system hair (which is the bald base, just a system hair with a totally clear texture), under clothing layers... gloves, socks, shoes, pants shirt and jacket
you can remove clothing
but you can not remove hair or skin, you can only replace them (they do not keep layers one on top of the other etc) it just takes one off and puts one on
if all else fails you can revert back to the default female avatar and build yourself back up a piece at a time
(edited to add more info)

The ones that cover it are the ones that are not transparent and in most cases no mod. The brows are stuck to the bald cap, not the skin, and no, you only wear one skin, not some layered over each other.
Try editing your bald hair base in appearance, you should find the eyebrow sliders there. If that doesn't remove the problem, clear your cache and reboot. If that also doesn't help, check if you have an Nvidia graphics card, there is a common glitch around with the latest drivers (lots of threads about that in this forum).

I've tried different bald bases, by different shops and artists. It happens with all of them. I don't know how to make hair, so I don't want to make hair and wear it, if that's what was meant. Also I have RP hair like Baroque/17th century wigs... I dunno what causes it. I tried adjusting things in Appearances. I didn't see anything for eyebrows, I don't think. I did adjust the brow but it did nothing, just adjusted the shape. I looked in face detail and makeup in Appearances, still nothing helpful. At least I did end up with a better face shape out of it though, I think. Yes I'd love to get to the bottom of it...

there we go, dropped a bald base on you, that should help, just double click to wear it, it is full perm, share, copy, edit, have fun with it

No dear, not make your hair, just edit the hair base. A bald base is basically done through the non-prim hair sliders in the appearance menu. For some reason, they stuck the eyebrow sliders there, not with the eye sliders.
And do try to clear your cache and reboot.

From: Novis Dyrssen And do try to clear your cache and reboot. *small voice* and how do I do that? Thanks everyone for the tips. I didn't know you could edit a bald hair base. It doesn't make sense to me the brows are in there either...I thought I'd seen them a while back! So that's where they ran off to...

Go to preferences, select network -> clear cache. Then close the browser and reboot. Sometimes SL is a bit wonky and doesn't actually remove the cache files, but I'd have to look up the exact path to the folder you should delete manually then, since I'm working on a German XP. Clearing cache is the one thing that most often helps with graphics related problems. If it doesn't work all at once, try rebaking your textures - press ctrl+alt+r. Good luck.

Not a lot of people know that when they created the avatar mesh they did two.The first is based on the regular Cro-Magnon man and the second is based on the Neanderthal man.
These are randomized, but works out at 1000 Cro to 1 Nea. Unfortunately you have ended up with Neanderthal mesh and there is nothing you can do.
You will have to head for the hills or give me a bell.I run a small but well kept Zoo.
Yours Blot.

Yours Blot. Actually, she's a throwback to the offshoot of the Neanderthal species. She's our Missing Link! Limonella should be protected and revered, not put on display at your freakshow Zoo.
