Dear SL residents, we cannot handle everyone playing when they are most able to, please try to refrain from playing during the most convent times so that our servers work better. We are too cheap to buy new ones and the reboots aren't working anymore.

Thank you! Minden Mabs

From the blog: "At the moment some in world services are unavailable including L$ Transactions. Please refrain from conducting transactions at this time until we give an all clear."

As asked several times in the comments to the blog post, why wasn't this announced in-world? Maybe they turned announcements off, too. But wouldn't it strain the asset servers less to make the announcement and have 99.9% of residents stop trying to make transactions, than to have people who didn't read the blog in time (probably the vast majority) continue to try to make transactions?

Ah now see that makes sense. That is why LL will never jump on that as a valid suggestion. Better to let people lose money, shop owners to be frustrated with all the IMs and notecards then to take a minute to send a pop up.
Your world, their way of doing things.

Instead of trying to come up with a clever title for these threads, please, PLEASE just call them "yet another bitch thread" so people who are sick of reading them can just avoid them all together.

If SL sucks so bad, leave.

TY.

When asked to clarify my point about a blog entry by one of the LL bods I said that the inworld announcements are the best thing they can do. Course, sometimes an emergency needs immediate isolation. Half of one, half of another really.
