Hi Christine

Can you be more specific?? Are you asking about changing your house to another, or changing the setting for your home location, what?

Christine,

Your Home position is automatically assigned to you, at first. It's the Welcome Area where you arrived after you left Orientation or Help Island.

Most of those places really aren't somewhere I'd like to call home, so I can understand your problem!

You can set your home position to any other Welcome Area or Infohub, or other Linden-owned public land, or to land that you own, or land that belongs to a group you're a member of, IF the group allows you the ability to "set home position to here".

Some examples of this include: renting land, where you belong to a community group; or a social group like The Forum Cartel that owns land; or a store group like Calla. I recommend joining The Forum Cartel as the easiest and funnest solution...you not only get a new Home location, you get a whole boatload of new acquaintances. Us, I mean. :)

I believe that The Shelter and the Help People! Institute also allow setting home to their land. So does GQ Start, if you are renting one of their low-cost apartments.

The control to change your Home location is in the World Menu, "Set Home To Here".

You can always just go to Preferences and change your login to 'Last Location' too. Then, if you have someplace you like to log off but can't set Home for, you'll still login there.

Well, unless there's a problem with the region and SL temporarily shuffles you off elsewhere.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.
