I wanted to search on the community events listings here and put in the category I wanted. I entered the category name. There were not any results that popped up from my search, and there wasn't an enter button to click to start the search- am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

When you press the Search button at the top, there's a 'advanced search' option. Once there, and after filling in the fields, you must press 'Search Now'. Is this what you mean?

Not on the forums, but on this site located at the top in the "community" part.

I think what you're referring to is the Events page that has the calendar at the top and the drop down list of categories such as Live Music, Discussion, Education, etc. Right?
If that's what you're referring to, it used to be that when you selected a category from the drop down list, the list would immediately filter on that category. It *USED TO* work that way. It's been broken for about two months now and nobody seems to know it's broken or knows how to fix it.

On the Community page, I put in a random word (Search Second Life) since I didn't know what you used. It brought be to another page which had a drop down giving me choices to search through including SL Events. Right beside it, I see a button with the word Search on it. It seems to be working for me. Maybe there isn't any events posted using the word you used?
Aah, OK. Not working...

I was talking about the events page under the community area. I did go to the part you are telling me about and entered "live music" under "events" and nothing came up. I did "live music" with quotes and without quotes. This really stinks because all I want is a listing of live music venues for today, instead of looking through the community events entire list. oh well, I will just be scrolling through the list or searching for the phrase in a few minutes...

I'm so sorry, I just went to the Events page under Community (finally understood what you meant) and you are right - there is no 'Go' button, and enter doesn't work, after you choose a Category. The only thing that helps is the time the event is taking place. Not too user friendly, huh?
