once placed, it stays. However, you won't be able to put new stuff out.

Technically it shouldn't be removed, you just won't be able to place anything else. Whether or not they insist you're a member of a group is another matter.

How big is this place if you're being dinged for that amount? Are there parcels galore there?

The group may have land deeded to it all over SL, well beyond this space. The fishy part is that to advertise a parcel is 30L. So you're paying more than your share of what it costs to advertise 1 parcel. Even though it's a small amount, it seems shady in principle.

It would be to your advantage to advertise all the parcels individually if that actually worked, but evidently it doesn't.

It's also frustrating that the group role defaults to sharing liability. I charged tenants for weeks when I was new. I saw the charge in my transactions, but had no idea it was charging everyone until one of my friends told me about it. I feel that should be changed. It's an obscure and strange enough concept, a lot of people simply don't realize they're doing it.

my space is not on its own parcel. you must happen by, to see my things. they are not really latex and bikini and sexy so they don't raelly fit in. i thot maybe.... i was wrong.

Have you tried setting the land for sale? I think 4L$ per square meter is the current land bot price.

3 ring, Im at the same mall..and got charged the same 33L. I sent the owner a note and she messaged me right back, appologising for the error in how she set up the group and refunded the 33L.

I dont think she intended to be "sneaky" at all about the charge- I genuinely believe it was an error on her part, which , once she was made aware of, changed straight away

Hope this helps

thank you for saying. i rescind my cynical snarkiness. i was rather surprised actually. upon chat, she was delightful. i felt the fool when i saw this transaction. i feel much better now, and owe her an apology.

also, edited out all comments of a derogatory manner.

I kept charging my tenants group liability in error, and had to keep refunding them back - it was only L$3 each but that's not the point. I checked all the boxes, and all was set correctly. I scratched my head for weeks!!

Turns out that although I had cleared the box for group liabilities in the resident's role, there is a sneaky Everyone role, and the box was still checked there, so everyone was getting charged!!

For future note, in some malls, etc if you leave the group, they'll assume you no longer want to be there and return your things.

Yep, did the same thing the other day when I set up my new tenant group. Totally an accident...but happened nonetheless.

I thought group fees were 30L? Or is it 30L per parcel the group has? The group I have my store land on is all one large parcel and each week the other owner of the group and I each get charged 15L. Last week I won an auction for a parcel right next to mine and had set it to group but didn't join it (actually it wouldn't let me join it right after the auction ended...which was weird). When group fees came around I was charged 30L, I haven't asked my business partner what she was charged....I just thought it was strange. So if it is 30L per parcel then makes sense. The new parcel that was not joined was not set to show in search, so I know the fee wasn't from that.
