Recently, I have noticed a few sounds issues, I have updated all drivers, qt & direct x gc etc. I have many sounds I have brought in plus a few in objects about the yard.
In the last week or three lol, noticed that on first touch on Jack (Jack Sparrow w/ sound I made) the first touch gets no sound response at all. The second will be delayed maybe 4-5 secs.(if I am lucky), after that the sound is almost immediate.
The sounds venders not so bad, they play all sounds with the same amount of delay bout 4-5 secs.
Sometimes, to goose Jack I open inventory and play the sound from there after that Jack will play in world normally without much delay(sometimes he won't sound at all till I do that).
I wear a sim performance object that gives me running scripts times etc. and no noticeable lag, actually running fairly quickly for what this region used to do (back when the sound didnt have this issue lol).
So, is sound a client side driven event?
Are any of these issues any others are dealing with?
Is their a hiearchy for scrpts regarding sounds? (the fact that once a sound sounds response time is fine thereafter, giving the impression that once the asset server regesters the uuid it is nearer to the heap top)
Is there any solution if this is a known issue?
Btw for those that remember when the asset servers were hacked , then a year of many asset related probs later when we got the security warning regaarding the sound, any thoughts on if these events could be related?
