SL Voice over sim lines?

Is there any potentially feasible way to have SL voice chat go over sim lines? I help run an event that sometimes spans over multiple sims with a centerpoint near a sim line. Is this at all possible to have the voice chat go over sim lines into the other sim or is this completely impossible?

Voice on two separate sims? I think the short answer is no.

One possible way around it, though...
Set yourself up like a dj and broadcast using parcel media.

Thing is, the voice is needed to broadcast play by play for an event. Any noticeable delay causes problems for us. If streaming didn't have such a bad delay, it wouldn't be an issue. But seeing as it is, I have to find a way to do it over voice.

through my testing, there already is delay up to two seconds using voice.
if you set up your own shoutcast server a certain way, you could reduce the delay using it to roughly the same amount of time.

You could also use traditional third party voice programs like Teamspeak or Ventrilo. These can host a large number of people and have little digital delay.

So every avatar who TPs in after they saw the Event listing goes on Ventrillo too...I never liked Teamspeak in the 1st place, the only reason I ever used it was ta talk ta Thinkerers' crew when I used ta hang out w/ them, but being a DJ, with the SL Client...I WOULD think: "the fewer active program windows, the better" (?)

While we're at it, why not fire up the TV tuner and write Novels at the same time, while burnin' a CD & playin minesweeper. What? That's stupid?? N00B!!! BASE BLASPHEMER!! HIE THEE BACK TO THE HATED INFERNAL REALM OF NOOBGAARD FROM WHENCE THOU CAMEST!

Oh look it's time 4 my meds.
