Skidding, not walking

In most locations, my avatar cannot walk properly. The legs seem locked together, so it looks more like a skid than a walk.
This happens in low lag locations as well as high-lag locations -- so I don't think it is a lag problem.
I got a friend to log in on my computer, and she had no problem at all -- so I don't think it can be anything to do with my hardware or software.
This is a very recent phenomenon -- it started a few days -- no problem before that.

I'm desperate for a solution. can anybody help please?

Did you recently get an AO, or other attachment that could affect your animations? Shoes perhaps?

Any of these things could have a problem in themselves and cause your walk animation to be off.

If nothign else, R-click your avatar and sellect Attachments, Detach all to take everything off. If the problem still persists after that, fill out a Support Ticket, technical for LL techs to look into your account. Be sure to try the "all fix" first and clear cache, relog, deatach all items and be sure to tell LL in your Ticket that you have tried this.

In fact, tell them twice *grins* Seems they never hear that the first time that you already tried to fix things yourself LOL

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

Yes Jessica -- you were right. I did exactly as you said -- detach everything -- and the problem fixed itself. Strangely, I did not find any conflicting animations, and I put back on all the same clothes and objects. But it is OK now, so thank you very much for your time.

You sure you didn't load the 'doggy bum skid across the carpet' animation by mistake?
