I have been advised to do a "full re-install" in view of a range of problems that have appeared, following my upgrade this morning. How do I "do a full re-install"?
God I'll be grateful for an answer.

i *THINK* it means you must go to: C:\Users\account-name\AppData\Local
and delete the directory there for Second Life. I am not entirely sure. I know there is a directory that has to be deleted that stores all your preferences and other things for SL. But i honestly have never had to do that. I hope that is it. But i really am not sure. _____________________

Simplest method:
1. Open Windows Control Panel, go to Add/Remove Programs, uninstall Second Life. 2. Reinstall Second Life from the viewer software you downloaded initially. If you don't have that file any more, go to the SL website downloads page and download it again. _____________________

If you don't manually delete the Second Life folder in Documents and Settings, under Applications, then you are not doing a full re-install. |

The Uninstall Second Life stopped cleaning the Application Data\Second Life directory years ago.
You can just Files and Folders Search on "Second Life" and the folder will show up So you will have to do that manually for Windows Xp. I don't know about Vista since I cant seem to find where it sticks the Second Life junk. |

I recommend Revo uninstaller. It can uninstall programs using several different levels of scanning, to find hidden and leftover files. It's very simple to use, and it is free.
