Hello everybody, just a simple question..
Is there a way to change the water direction in an island?

no if your referring to Linden water

Not with Linden water, that is fixed, the only thing you can do is to rotate the terrain.

With non-Linden water you can change direction quite easily with a script.

By water direction, do you mean the flow of the waves?

Yes, with windlight environment settings you can adjust the water color...the wavelet directions.....the fog density and light refraction. If you've got a good graphics card then you should be able to use all the different environment editor settings under sky and water.
What's your OS? That will help, cause if it'll run windlight, you're all set.

Windlight settings only change what you see on your computer.

Riiight......but all of us ONLY ever see what we see on our OWN computer.....the whole of SL is designed that way. LOL So, it's really kind of a moot point worrying about what anyone else sees cause we'll never be able to control what's on someone elses screen....entirely.

He's talking about making a change to make his build look better.

If you can only influence about 95% of what 95% of the people looking at you see, that's close enough to make me consider it a complete waste of time making changes to make a particular build look better if nobody but me will ever see them.
