Hi
I've read as much as i can here and have a good understanding of how group land works. But where it goes fuzzy on me is how, owner makes contribution works.

I recently sold land on the mainland, and bought(rented) land within a private sim.I checked the owner makes contribution tab, which i think now was wrong.

But my question is,if i make a contribution,do i take a double hit each month paying tier?Does it mean LL will still hit my CC in addition to me paying for the land i'm renting now?

Hope this makes sense?

Assuming the client is stupid enough to make a contribution for an estate purchase (which is certainly possible, but it's also arguably a bug), then you've contributed tier to the group that owns the land. Whether the land is on the mainland or an estate, you're still going to pay for that contribution... because contribution to a group is charged for whether the group owns land or not. Check if the contribution was made, and if so pull it out and contact support (submit a ticket) explaining how it happened and asking if they will grant you an exception. They likely will, if you haven't made that kind of mistake before... they did when I accidentally bought a 16m parcel on my own tier instead of for a group which tossed me up to a new tier level.

That tick box needs to be removed from estate land window, indeed the estate land general tab should look completely different to the mainland version.

If your group only "owns" (I'm using this term with reservations) estate land, you do not need to contribute any tier to the group. Just remove every contribution.

Then you need to tier on "the Land Use Fees" page in your account.
