Hi I want to start taking building classes, free ones but I dont know where to go. I am looking for anything from beginner to advanced. I would love to find a really nice pace tht offers free building classes to anyone who would like to attend or at the most you had to be part of a group with a one time pay to get in

Many are offered - search inworld under Education. If you can, look up Builders Exchange- great bunch of helpful folks- good luck. Oh- and check out the Content Creation Forum and Building Tips there.

The classes offered at NCI are open to anyone, free of charge, and are listed on the NCI calendar and in the "Events" tab in search. Just use the keyword "NCI". The best place to visit is the Kuula NCI parcel, as, there is typically large and helpful crowd there. Also, there will be a Question an Answer beach party tonight at 8pm and a slightly more formal Q&A event Saturday night at 6:30pm at NCI's Fisherman's Cove beach boardwalk. (^_^)
I personally teach a class every Thursday night at 6pm SLT alternating between the subjects of Flexible and Light properties and low prim furniture building. (^_^)y _____________________

You can search inworld under events or via the websiite:
http://secondlife.com/events/ In both cases select the education category. As mentioned above, you can also go to NCI, they have a calendar of when they're teaching classes there. |

Been to the Ivory Tower of Prims yet? Search/Places for "ivory tower" - it's a nice walk though of some basic building stuff.

And, of course, for self-paced inworld tutorials there are the Ivory Tower of Prims for basic building, and the Particle Lab for particle systems. Inworld building classes can move pretty quickly; questions can be asked and answered, but the instructor will usually clip right along. Collecting a set of Ivory Tower notecards at their kiosks, and then going to their or another sandbox and playing at your own pace, gets you thoroughly familiar with the build menus.
