Fun places to go on a date?

Hi Second Lifers,

I’ve got an SL date tonight, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for fun/romantic places to go. I was thinking of something along the lines of a boat or a hot-air balloon tour. Or some other tour-like activity.

I’ve found a couple of great ones in the past. The “Africa” sim has a great hot-air balloon tour and the sim itself is very well done. Also the “Venice” sim is very beautiful and has a great gondola ride.

I know of several very nice dance places, but was thinking of beginning the date with a sight-seeing activity before moving on to dancing.

So, any suggestions?

Thanks!

Jonathan,

On the Island of Patria I have a romantic boat ride, and a starry night ballroom. They are marked in purple on the map at the teleport point.

Acropolis Gardens has several tours (TP into the Welcome Center), so you would have a choice of sights and vehicles.

Svarga has a guided tour too that is very nice.

Venice has a nice ballroom and a gondola ride.

Avilion has a swan boat ride and romantic gardens. The ballroom's spectacular too, but usually laaaaaggy.

The "Reflections" sims are great for exploring with your sweetie...Secret Reflections, Midnight Reflections, etc.

-Avion- Thanks, that sounds perfect. Will definitely check out your place!

-Nimue- *Jon smacks himself in the head* Can't believe I forgot about Acropolis, haven't been there in ages. Great suggestion!

-Lindal- Venice is very nice, I took her there on our last date. *Grin*
Never been to Avilion or the "Reflections" sims, both those sound very cool.
Thanks!

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

HAHAHAHA, now that is funny.

Etheral - lovely light show
The sim Joy, very nice romantic spots
Look under events for live music. Excellent performers, Nuscore, Dex, Brixton Channing
just to name a few.
Avalon for romantic dancing.

If I think of more, I'll post.

My husband and I had a wonderful time one evening riding demo horses at the AKK ranch. There are actually a bunch of places you can go riding.

I had a wonderful tour of amusement parks the other night when my alt put 'carnival' into the Places search. It's been a while since I've done it, but try 'maze' or 'labyrinth' too. Oh, and 'zoo'.

If you're up for shopping, go explore Grendel's Children. Buy some unusual avatars (they're quite reasonably priced) and have a good time trying them on. Pay attention to the build itself, too - it's amazing.

You can float through space holding each other at Inspire Space Park - very romantic, indeed.

/me scampers off to check out the site Ann posted...

At Carnivale Royale, everything is free. A racetrack, bumper cars, autoskating, trains, horses, a ferris wheel, mazes, an actual working coaster, and a whole lot more.

The only thing you might spend lindens on are clothes from Q Branch, fishing supplies from Neo-Realms, or putting a neat little donation into one of the several boxes available! Otherwise, please come visit anytime.

Oh, and Double 0's Club has events on the weekends!

OSRAM Island has a great midway/carnival with an awesome rollercoaster. The midway is located over a bridge, past the biergarten.
