I just want to thank all the people who made such sensible and sensitive comments on the threads that I have started recently. I am going to really try to make a difference in the SL world in my own small way. I realize that we can complain and be frustrated BUT we can also be just a small part of the huge global real community as well - and hopefully make SL a better place at the same time. No - please dont start singing "Kumbaya"! My comment to this thread is this - what do you propose to do as a member of the sl community to make sl a better place? It doesn't have to be a "mushy" reply but just something that you would like to do that any of us can appreciate.

We can clean out our inventories of unused or unwanted items.

I would try to convince all griefers that "all you need is love" get out of mom and dad's dark basement... maybe go help an old lady cross the street, rescue a small kitten from out of a tree or something other than wreak havoc.

Find a way to put an end to ad farms on the mainland.

As individuals I believe that we can be patient, sympathetic, helpful and understanding to noobs. And as was stated before, do our best to ensure we keep our part of SL appealing and pleasant for all those around us.
As a group, I'll agree with Raymond. Getting rid of the ad farms has a higher priority than griefers IMO. That's all they are anyway.

/me sings "Kumbaya............"
I second Bradley's notion: "As individuals I believe that we can be patient, sympathetic, helpful and understanding to noobs. And as was stated before, do our best to ensure we keep our part of SL appealing and pleasant for all those around us."
And would add: I'd encourage anyone who has enough land and prims available to create a little corner that's open to everyone and provides a safe haven for new residents, the homeless and the like.
On a personal level: I'm going to keep on plugging the live music scene, because it's an amazing part of this world of ours.

I do what I can to be nice but sometimes my darker human half comes out. The most I can do is just create what I can that adds to beauty and distracts my inner darkness being added to this reality.

I would like to continue my journey through SL with the joy and happiness I've experienced in my first two weeks reflected in a big cheesy grin.
Smiling is infectious and so I want to try and infect as many people as I can with it.
A wise SL friend recently warned me that it was only a matter of time before I was bitten by somebody in SL. He was right <Ow>
And so my contribution to this great place is to dab antiSLeptic on my bite, slap my smile back on my face and carry on skipping around meeting great new people and having a laugh.
Also, I believe the children are our future ........

/me is infected by Sandy So I guess I'll try to help noobs whenever I can. SL can be pretty overwhelming, even for the more experienced among us. All we can do is try to make it a little bit less so, and try to show people the many postive sides of this mad and funky place. Oh, and get rid of adfarms, build nice buildings and plant lots of trees.

Well I've always helped noobs, given away things and made efforts to be at least reasonably aesthetically pleasing.
I think I'll give more praise to people directly when they do something great. I like to do that anyway. If only there was a ratings system, where you could give positive feedback as to someone's appearance, behaviour and building ability?
Oh.
/snaps fingers
It's a shame it had to go. I can see there was no real way to keep it up but even so ...

What happened babe? I'll just try to help people where I can, and hopefully bring something positive to SL. Hmmm, pretty vague answer eh? Oh yeah, and clear that damned inventory too.

Just be myself. treat people with the respect they deserve, return the love that has been given to me, and to enjoy Second Life to my fullest, without impeding others.
