Resetting "Home" Page?

I'm sure this is a ridiculously easy thing to do but I can't figure it out.

Every time my alt opens up SL, I find myself in a sim which is not where I ever asked to be. Never even remember TP'ing there for any reason. Plus, the owner of the store is there quite a bit and is always curious why I keep showing up (it's a store that sells sex furniture no less).

So, how do I reset this page to someplace I'd prefer to be?

Thanks!

Go to wherever you want your home to be. The go to World/Set home to here. That should do it. You may have to clear the cache, but I don't think you should. Also, when you log in, go to Preferences. You can set it to log you into your home location, last location, or to a location you type in.

In preferences there is a place to change location at log in. you can set it for your home, or your last location at logoff. I think you can also type in the coordinates of the location you wish to start at.

To set Home, go to the World menu and select Set Home To Here. There are three types of land you can set Home to:

1) Land you own.
2) Land owned by a group you belong to. You may have to activate the group (see How do I change the title in front of my name? ) to set Home there. The land must be deeded to the group, not just "set" to the group.
3) Mainland Infohubs.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Ann - so how is it that I was coming in at that furniture store? That seems kind of odd, doesn't it, if those rules apply?

If you're set to log into your last location, you can come in anywhere.

I'd set home to any of the SL banks' main offices. Always a nice crowd around there.

Sometimes, just sometimes, SL says it can't log me in to my usual destination, my home and says it's puting me nearby. It's actually about three plots away from my home which is the very centre of the sim. Maybe your previous selection Elora wasn't available and the shop is the centre point of the sim.

Thanks Bilbo, I guess that could be a possibility. Anyway I took care of it and now I don't have to deal with the shop keepers snide glares any longer :-)
