I cant do it coz its not in my spehere of knowledge. BUT a "certain person" kinda challenged me - check the "I accpet" thread
I have accepted the challenge but suggest a NEUTRAL persson asks teh question
Who would you rather sit at a table next to in a restaurant?
YOU can use my name with no problem. This will be fun. I also allow anyone to say whatever they like about me in this. I have never been shy so please go ahead.
Remember to make it a POLL. neither teh "person" or myself can vote. I promise I wont.

Jig this needs to be clarified. Is it "at a table with" (sharing conversation) or "next to", as in neighboring tables (in otherwords, so you are overhearing the persons conversation). They are different, although in the end still have the same result as to who you'd rather be listening to

As long as I can spike the food/drinks and hear the resulting conversation, I guess it does not really matter whether I am at the table or at the next table.
Assuming that the question is really about "who I would rather listen to have a conversation with someone else" as opposed to "who I would rather have a conversation with".

I think the conversation must be heard. I dont think teh "person" would mind if it was just "listened to". I am confident with that. Other table is great idea I think coz I luv doing that myself. BUT let the poller have control now. I am used to being "on teh spot" in real so I trust in the person who initiates teh poll. I am at your mercy.

I think the question is about "would I rather listen to someone at the next table likely to be going on and on and on loudly in bad English about very little of interest or consequence or someone who is likely to be entertaining his dining companion discretely with witty repartee". Pep (On the other hand, if you really think I would be pointing out a dining companion's faults . . . )

I would still rather put you both at the same table, with me either at the same table or next to it, and I'll sip my bottles of wine while I listen to the two of you have at each other.

Jig, I love you but please no more threads on this particular inanity. There's now three. It's beginning to crowd out threads like these on the New Posts screen: /54/d8/306463/1.html/8/2a/306418/1.html/263/14/306104/1.htmlIBTL .

It's not rocket science. Just learn to do it. It isn't hard. You're a capable person, what is the problem with learning to do a poll yourself? Maybe I be careful what I wish for, but is your disdain for convention that high that you can't learn to do it yourself?

From: Jig Chippewa I cant do it coz its not in my spehere of knowledge. Jig, you're 22! If you can't expand your sphere of knowledge now, there's no hope for you later in life. I tell you what, we'll make a partnership pact. You learn how to initiate a poll and I'll learn how to work the telephone in my office. Deal? Deal!

Do I just tap the options box for polls? I really am not sure about it. Maybe I better not coz I could be open to being banned if teh "certain person" presents a case against me. Honestly, just walk me through it - posting a poll.

*facepalms* *laughs* Considering that personal attack ridden, foot-stomping tirade based on an old personal arguement that passed through here recently? That poll can only have one answer: probably not

From: Gabriele Graves I felt the people who had supported her in the past were being attacked and I felt the need to speak out about it - that is all. I would have done that for anyone, even a close friend if I felt they had done that. I did not insult, get angry, or become in any way abusive in that thread, I simply pointed out what I believed to be a few truths concerning the situation. It turned into nasty when that person was unable to take that criticism back and exploded back at me. If you can give it you should be able to take it is my belief. You will note that her ranting continued long after I stopped posting also. Generally, I really don't want to reopen this can of worms again here but if people are going to revisit these things then I will set them straight and comment where I feel it is necessary.
I think reference is made to my exchange in teh "teh" thread - but honestly, I cannot see where that was "ranting". After my partner came on from Cologne and commented, I went to bed. I want to make it absolutely clear that I did not attack any "interest group" in sl. I have always advocated free expression. My own partner presents himself as a Satyr, horns and all. I made a sweeping comment about the "middle class" (I couldnt spell bourgeoius - still cant) It was just a general statement. If teh middle classes are offended, I apologize. In all replies to you I tried to get us to "lighten up". To be hionest I think all furries, vamps, goths and whatevers are really complex micro-societies. I was a real "Goth" when I was young. I think all this has gone on far too long. The forum have been exceedingly patient with me and my stupid habit of replying to people's comments. I am not leaving the forum because I dont see what I have done to deserve self-exile. BUT I truly am sincere in apologizing to everyone who may have been offended by my comments or my "ranting" or even teh fac that I post at all. In my real career I have never been described as a "ranter" (always a first time). BUT I will answer to what I consider unfair comments on me personally as has been done in threads. So, once again - I am sorry if anyone's feelings were hurt. It was definitely not intentional. PS. I am still figuring out this %^&$#% pill box thingie.

Jig I have removed my post in case it inflames any more problems considering it is possible I misunderstood what Dana was referring to. I would appreciate it if you would remove my quote from your post too. I also would appreciate it if nobody quotes this post either then once Jig has removed my quote I can delete it. Thank you.
