Hi everyone,
I don't know about everyone else, but I find it practically impossible to find an issue in the Jira unless someone posts the reference number here.
Just found the ref for the issue relating to long freeze ups on macs. This has been getting worse and worse and doesn't seem to be being seriously addressed and certainly hasn't been a show stopper for the release candidate viewers going live.
If you're on a mac and having long freeze ups that get worse and worse and are only resolved (temporarily) by logging off and clearing cache then please go vote for
VWR-7779
I'm sure lots of us are having this issue but only 78 people have voted for this to be fixed so far. We need to let LL know that this is a biggie for mac users and we're not just a small minority of residents.
Many thanks! Min

Voted. This started suddenly for me at the time of the 1.21 release and going back to an older client doesn't seem to help.

Interesting, this used to be a big problem for me on my MB but is now less of an issue.
I wonder if it is more an OS X issue?

It's not too much of a trouble on my iMac (it does come up now and then), but it can stop my friend Robin in her tracks. Particularly with particles and alphas.

I've not seen any long freeze ups, a couple of seconds maybe. Still on 10.4.11 though

From: Min Fairweather We need to let ... we're not just a small minority of residents. But you are! And before you get annoyed, I typed this response on a Mac... But I agree that should definitely get fixed.

I have been experiencing these occasional freeze ups for 5 or 6 seconds for much of the last year. There is no clear indication of what causes it, but they seem to be growing longer and more often lately. I will go look for the Jira Here it is http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7779

While were talking mac issues, here is mine. I have been living with crash after tp off and on for over a year. In the past I could log back in and be at the destination. Lately when I log back in I am still at the previous location. Sometimes I have to relog and re-tp several times before I can get to my destination, or give up.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a Jira?
I have a MacBookPro 2.33 with 3G memory, Radeon x1600 Graphics card, running 10.5.5 and the latest SL viewer.

FWIW: Mac's market share as of November is 8.87% This is a significant growth over last year's 7.3% and is most likely due to the agressive marketing Apple has employed over the past year.
Linux on the PC is still lagging at just under 1%
Mac users are not just a small minority of the residents. They are a rabidly loyal small minority of the residents.

I've just been filing this under the usual SL pain. Didn't know it was an issue.
Off to see if the server will allow uploads again...
