I'm looking for nice LGBT neighborhoods, villages, centers, and the like in SL. I visit Boystown often, but I'd like to visit other similar sized LGBT areas. I'm not looking for a place to have sex, but to meet others and talk. Please post your favorite LGBT areas.

Thanks,
Gay Flatley

The Elysium sim (Maybe more than Elysium) is beautiful, though not sure what all is there at this point. There is a transgender suicide memorial there, with a 'places' listing, which is how I always find the sim to visit.

When I was new I did a search for glbt friendly places to hang out, not for sex...
I found few one was a island but no one ever seemed to be there, and the other
well there was more people who hung out there but I ended up deciding to do other things
like building and making textures for fun.
Personally in my first life I am gay and transgendered but I really never been into hanging
out in those places, people are people to me regardless its sort of non-issue for me unless
the person is a bigot.
Never went back to island I found and I don't recall the name either.
I am sorry can't help....but if you want someone to talk to here feel free to contact me.

I was hoping for places where there is a full fledged LGBT area, with shops, bars/clubs, and apartments. I'll be checking out the Memorial, though.

Last I knew, Elysium was mostly open space and such, maybe by design, but there is a club (At least one that I know of), housing, etc. The memorial is just my way of getting there

Ansche I heard has rental geared towards glbt community. I don't know much about them.
I really haven't found place in my search that has all that.
When I lived in bluehound there was a place next door had shops and club but it seemed like it was plastered with male organs in certain spots and full of bots.
Not really my thing.

If you're looking for LGBT communities in check out Boots Beach (Mission Beach Sim), Fire Island, and the Provincetown sims.

My partner and I have created a resource kit for LGBT members of Second Life that contains information and landmarks to lots of LGBT friendly locations in-world. You can pick up a copy of the kit for free at our LGBT resource center located at Sawrey (27,214,33) http://slurl.com/secondlife/Sawrey/27/214/33. We try to update it once every 7-14 days to remove stale links, add links people suggest to us, etc.

There is lots of gay content and location within SL - hope you enjoy them!

Hi Gay,

My Devolin Paradise Hotel is a gay resort. It's more of a quiet residential community, but if you see green dots on the map there, they will generally be nice people for you to meet.

I've got a number of landmarks for some lovely women-only places like that. I don't think that will help you much, though. :(

Hi Gay,

Definitely check out Avion's properties. I don't think you'll find a friendlier and better place to live.

Hi Gay,

Avion's Sims are definitely worth checking out, esp if you are looking for a community to live in as well. I'm partial to the City of Liome (still under construction I believe). It is a mostly residential city with skyscrapers and drivable roads, but also has a community center and I hear that it will be getting a club.

Also, on April 5 the new Warehouse Plaza will re-open. It has four large city squares of shops, all centered around a large dance club (Ironworks). Before it closed for remodelling it was a popular lgbt spot.

I haven't been in a while, but I believe Devilfish is still a popular spot as well.

Oh, and there's always Gay World.
