I've just downloaded the newest client and my right click doesn't work - means I can't do much - can't build, can't click on poseballs etc...

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I have yet to download the new client, so I have not had a chance to experience any problems.

When troubleshooting, I usually go for software is a problem before hardware, but mice are pretty much consumable devices. So to eliminate the easy things first, have you rebooted since installing the new client? Have you tried using a different mouse?

I've rebooted and have tried both the track pad and buttons and a USB mouse. Neither seem to work.

It's getting really annoying as all I need to get some building done.

Put in a ticket and uninstall the new one. The previous version of the standard viewer is here:

Mark, this is amazing. I encountered a newbie on Orientation Island last night who (I think) was having a similar problem.

She wanted to change her appearance. I told her to put her mouse cursor on herself and right click.

She said that all that happened was that her name appeared (the standard hovertext behavior).

Right click is SO essential to Second Life that if LL has managed to bork it they should get some kind of Idiot Of The Year award.
