Exactly what is the exchange rate based on? Last week I could buy 1000L for $3.86, today it's $4.08 and climbing (was $4.06 ten minutes ago). Is there any way to tell when it's going to be a good time to buy?

Is there any way to tell when it's going to be a good time to buy? I just checked it here: https://secure-web17.secondlife.com/currency/buy.php And the current open sell order is at 266L/US$, so 1000L should cost you 1000/266 + 30c = US$4.06. It haven't seen it move much from the 265L/US$ level for months. How are you attempting purchase, via the client? edit to add: you may have managed to get it cheap at times should someone happened to have dumped a lot on the market at a lower price to sell more quickly, but generally it doesn't move far from 265L/US$ |

Yes, I usually do use the client to purchase.

Yes, I usually do use the client to purchase. In that case it would more often than not cost you approx 4.06, as the market rarely moves far from that. If you get it for less than that, then you have just been fortunate to have purchased at a time that someone has offloaded a load onto the market for a lower amount. |

*sigh*
Thanks, Hiro. These fees are killing me, when I need to be buying large amounts ![]() _____________________
