Some days ago me and two of my confederates started work of a private security group, specialized on guarding events in SL. Currently we are searching people and I would like to know: will anybody order our services or we'll abandon our group finally?

You need to do more research about your intended market, and learn how to market yourselves effectively. Obviously there is a clientele who will bother with hiring security, why not go to the clubs and talk to their owners?

The toughest part will be gitting your first jobs and handling them well.

If you build a good reputation you will do great, but there have been a lot of security teams out there that become Greifers. That is the main reason the Gig is so hard to get into.

sure, we'll do it all, but I want to listen any forecasts now, when we just started and didn't promise much to people, who start working for us...

Personally, I would not use this service if the security people had not been in SL at least a year. Don't mean to sound mean - I just don't think new folks make good security people.

Just IMO.

Also, if a person is hosting an event, usually, it's on group owned/private land and using the tools to handle security needs. One problem you'll want to address specifically is how you are going to handle the lack of the tools such as ban/freeze/eject.

Are you going to be the more, 'keeping your eye out for trouble,' watchdogs or the 'orbit 'em if they cause problems?' Some places will frown upon the latter, so also expect that.

Edit: Or, are you going to request that the group owners trust you enough to make your members at least officer rank in their groups? I don't think I'd allow this, myself, since I don't trust anyone not living in my household RL side ;)

Personally, I see no need for security groups as a general matter. Ban/eject powers given to trusted staff members is enough, or use a security device. People offer these services to me on occasion but why, when the land does what I need and a device will work otherwise?
