SL thinks I have no internet conection

ok talk about strange I try to log in and get the pop up msg about not having an internet connection (which obviously I do as I am posting here) and then the weirdest of all, it tells me to teleport home I AM NOT LOGGED IN!!! how the hell can I teleport home? and if I have no internet how would I be able to connect to the support site.... sheesh! add to that the site is running super slow and I tried logging into Lime and that doesn't work either it times out on the handshake part

brain is lapsing today, sim names not coming to mind (or at least the common ones to try)

Have you tried rebooting your modem and or router? Sometimes helps with this kind of weirdness.

Yikes! That's ominous. I hope your ISP haven't blocked certain ports due to excessive usage. If rebooting the router doesn't fix it. Disable all your firewalls and security software just for a few moments so you can try logging into SL without them running. If it suddenly starts working, then you just need to work out which one of those is causing the problem.

not my isp, and not SL, seems to be my laptop
able to log in on hubby's pc although it was a bit slow

well it finally connected, but I have a feeling trying to do anything today will be a chore (and I so wanted to finish this dress)
