how do i become an SL child?

My friend said i should join and she was telling me how i could become a sl child and get preggo and such.so how does one become and SL child?Im still really new and dont have that many frinds so i thought why not become an SL child!

hehe funny though I've banned 2 pregger child avi's...

but don't forget to get the speech impediment... I think a lot of child avi's require you speak with a severe speech impediment as if you were mentally handicapped.

Oh gees.........yeah....you don't wanna do both.....that would be a quick route the SLExit.

Um...there are two ways to be a child in SL (this is souly from my own observation)

The first and most literal way is to simply make your avatar child size.....suit it up with kids clothes....get a few gadgets like lollipops and teddy bears and then I suppose, hope someone adopts you.

(disclaimer: I don't get the child thing at all...it sort of freaks me out on a very base level, but hey, people do what they do.....)

The second way is rather, I believe, involuntary.....and that would be to simply act like a freak, throw tantrums......come to the forums and start arguments and behave in an otherwise jeuvenile or child like way.

With the first way....at least you can still make friends and look sorta cute. But I gotta warn you, due to the way the avatar mesh is designed....and the limitations of the sliders.....most child avatars sort of just look like little freakish adults. (sorry, but it's true, they're weird) Ok..well....except I know this one girl who's avatar is a faun child and she is kinda cute.

In world look up kid or child on the searches. You will most likely find some kid friendly places or adoption centers that should be able to answer most of your questions. I am not in world so can't grab any good landmarks right now.

Aw... Keori, I'm sorry if that came off kind of harsh. But, the bottom line is you can be whatever you want to be in SL. Creating a child avatar is no different then creating an adult....you just have to find the right skin/hair/clothes to complete the look.

Actually.....this gives me an idea to challenge myself. I love making shapes and I have tons in my inventory that I've done for varius people but, never attempted a child. I think, given my observations, I'd like to try it and see if I can come up with something that really looks like a kid!

Would it? I mean, sure, the act of getting there would be grounds for removal from SL, but would a pregnant child/teen avatar be against the rules? There are very young parents in RL, and as long as there's no sex beforehand it seems that it might be allowed, really.

Just curious... I don't want a baby in SL, regardless of my av's age. Ever.

i have a vampire child av and a baby av. i don't wear them much, but sometimes there is a party or some such event where wearing said av's is a bit of fun and appropriate. i sure as hell don't want any parents bossing me around, however. LOL

can't help you in the RP mentality behind that though. i just consider mine a costume. are you certain you want to RP a child (full time) in SL?

My very first suggest would be to stop by the Second Life Children group's "Learning Tree." The one in Whippersnapper is the one I usually will visit, but there are many others.

Another spot would be the sim KIC, which is short for Kid Information Center. There's a "Learning Tree" there too, an a "transmogrifier" (some will remember it from Kids5B) and other good stuff.

I'd also recommend Livingtree, which sells good kid skins, shapes, and other stuff.

Finally, stop by my place in Bay City - Imaginario, or Avatar Central in Aqua, or Stillman Free Bazaar and get a copy of my notecard, "So... you want to be a kid." You can also IM me inworld for a copy.



It would not be a fast ride on the bannination train, but it also would not get you invited round many places, neither.
