GL disabled

I have a new computer and installed an upgrade recently. I now have a new window on my computer when I run sl which is in addition to the regular sl display. The new window shows all the dialog as sl starts up: whats being loaded, what it can not find etc. Once sl is up and running (and it runs fine) there is a constant message which repeats. The message goes something like: "Can not bind texture since GL is disabled". I was thinking GL had something to do with graphics and looked around for it under preferences and under Nvidia on my computer. I did not see anything. Anyone have an idea what this is and how to fix it? Not a big deal, everything seems to work fine.
