I just moved from a mainland sim to a private island sim in hopes of getting around rezzing problems. After losing money like crazy (I just paid a whole month's tier on the mainland, and sold the mainland cheap so I wouldn't have to pay another month) and then spending the money on the private sim, things are no better.

Sometimes only a few things rez, but in the distance other buildings always rez. I have items set to different groups and that seems to make no difference. Sometimes it works fine, but since I spend a lot of time there, my cache tricks me into thinking it's working fine. I see customers bumping into things so I go talk to them. They always ask the same thing, where can I find _______ for sale. It's right in front of them but all they see is grass!!

I'm sick of this.. I'm spending all this money in tier and then another 5000L+ a week in ads and my customers can't even see what I'm selling.

Is this a black cloud following me around or are there others with this issue? I can't afford to lose sales much longer.

rezzing works based on simplicity of the object doesn't it? I'm not totally sure, but using simpler objects might help...

Hi... I have a 30 prim oak tree I just bought... it rezzes fine today, but a simple sign with a 256 X 256 texture isn't even showing up. It's odd but the objects I bought such as plants are showing up, while object I created are mostly not. After 10 minutes, about 90% of my objects showed up.

thats odd then.. but sounds like your graphics are just lagging severely..also, higher quality textures might make it slower, so if that sign has a 32-bit alpha texture, while the oak has the basic 'bark' and 'foliage' textures often used, then it would take longer.... I think...

I'm sure someone far more knowledgeable than me will come along shortly and correct me, but this might have something to do with it:

If the trees and plants and such are commonly seen textures they might be in your customers' cache already and will therefore rex more quickly. What you produce will be new to them and thus will take longer to rez. If you have lots of your textures in your store then it could take quite a while, especially for someone with a slow computer. That would also explain them seeing grass, because well there's a lot of it around :).

Just my 2c. Good luck. :)

Well if it is a problem only with your item I would try 2 things:

Place them with an alt and see if it goes better

If it doesn't have the alt make them and see how it goes.

It might be some object corruption or someting related to baking issues. Once you can narrow the problem down then you can probably submit the question to Linden Labs support service.
