anyone know what it means when the title of the land parcel is only half shown; the part ofter the hyphen does not appear? This seems to correspond with the times when I cannot TP without crashing. Is there a link here? Is there something I can do to prevent it? Thanks for any replies.

Yep, there sure is a link. When things are really laggy, the land menu is one of the things that won't work.

Yes, it means the title was too long for the space that was allocated for it.

There is more to it than that. Sometimes the full title appears, so there is certainly room. Other times the full title is not there, and this is when I think I get TP problems.

Probably it's obvious, but: what usually appears in the menu bar is the region coordinates and maturity rating followed by a hyphen, and then the parcel Name field (or as much of it as will fit). Presumably what's happening is that the entire parcel Name isn't appearing because the sim is too sick to send it or the connection is flaky enough to lose it en route.

I believe there is a connection... i'm betting you couldn't see the About Land info correctly either. The best thing is to contact support (in Live Chat if possible) and they can get it fixed for you.
