It just occured to me that a lot of people are walking around as blarring mini suns. I was in my shop and saw that some textures looked like total hell, so I figured my environment setting were messed up, but then I realized that it was a person that was lighting up a 20M radius like a super nova and when they moved away everything turned back to normal .
Do people who use facelight realize that everything they get near changes its appearance because of them? and not for the better in most cases...

I've long since decided that face lights are the devil.

From: VonGklugelstein Alter Do people who use facelight realize that everything they get near changes its appearance because of them? and not for the better in most cases... /me suspects that most people wearing these supernovae have local lighting disabled and can't even see their own facelights.

People using low graphics setting will not see local lights. Many just wear the content of the folder so if the creator has included a facelight, they will neither know nor care that it was worn. Not really their fault, if they can't see something is wrong there's nothing to fix.
Second, I had a fur mink piece of a dress. Every prim, all 80 were set to be a light source on max.
This was from a well known creator who only ever created using low graphics setting and herself never saw the result of her creations in higher graphics settings and the problem and impact that they had.

Some people like to light up their face... Others take a different approach...
