Ive been hunting around for a security device for ages, one that I can add residents too and that once added they can *whitelist& blacklist* people to but not alter the set parameters (ie: distance it operates at)
anyone know of one like this and where to go to take a gander?

If that's all it does, just manage the access lists, then it would be pretty simple to script; I could probably get you something tomorrow for that, if it doesn't exist already.
It gets hairier if it does other (potentially laggy) security orb stuff, like sensing intruders, and ejecting above the height limits of the access lists. I'm guessing that might be a requirement, too, based on mention of "distance it operates"; if it's just adding and removing names from a ban list, it doesn't need a range at all.

I'm guessing that might be a requirement, too, based on mention of "distance it operates"; if it's just adding and removing names from a ban list, it doesn't need a range at all. hi  id like to set it to operate just in a small area, inside a home 10m no more possibly..so it would need to detect a predetermined list of names and then eject if they arent on the list, not worried how far it ejects them just so it does...i once saw a set up in a rental home a longgg time ago that seemed to do this..cant find anything like it for love nor money now though naturally lol. Basically Id like to have one in each home i rent..and we have many homes on one parcel..we obviously dont want to restrict people entering the island or walking around the public areas, just stop those who shouldnt access inside homes getting inside or sending out a warning to give them the idea would that be do'able?
