What did I do before SL?

It is almost midnight...my prime SL time. The grid is wacky and I cannot do anything...plus I'm half naked and bald. I feel lost...what the hell am I supposed to do with myself? Watch TV? Read? Work? Call my friends in an earlier time zone? No, damn it...

So addicted...jonesing for a fix! UGH! LOL


What did I enjoy doing just a few short months ago?

I was once addicted to message boards...I roamed and lurked and posted like crazy until I had almost 20k in posts in one area alone. Luckily I havent gotten addicted to these boards, but that was so long ago now I wonder where all the people I was addicted with have gone. They are probably waiting to load somewhere in SL.

hmm I have been in sl a little over 2 years

what did I do before SL...

well I was an admin for a small 2d game, was fun, got to add stuff to the game and such

I also played on online places such as pogo.com and http://www.ferryhalim.com/orisinal/

and other games such as roller coaster tycoon, 18 wheels of steel, casino something or other LOL, and a few others I do not recall the names of
I also bought and sold stuff on ebay and worked on my RL hobby of egg decorating

now... all I seem to do is sl, and when SL is down I go to pogo mainly

I used to be a pogo junkie til my pogo friends came to SL and I soon followed. Pogo is now like a figment of my imagination LOL

Yep, it's amazing what people will do to get laid.

SL makes it all so much easier.

3D animation, learning aaaalll about PCs & networks & servers, tons of video games, looking for a job that'd pay me enough & give me the right hours to spend on SL, learning aaaaalll about PC's & networks & servers, watching Cartoon Network, reading anything I could think of or lay my hands on.

I sat on my butt in front of the tv watching jerry springer and eating bonbons and stuff

I'm glad sl got me off the couch.

well me just picked up my guitar and played ... but DAMN YOU SL , even that aint enough lately .. you mainlined me hooked me .. and still persist on playing with my head.

Scratching my head....hmm..let's see..I was a workaholic, an avid reader and worked out like a fiend before joining up with SL. Oh and I remember I loved watching British comedy. I haven't watched TV or read many books since starting up with SL.

I used to sell my decorated eggs and odds and ends of stuff

I decorate all types of eggs from tiny quail to large ostrich

if I can find some pics I will pop some in here... but give me awhile to find some, as they are buried somewhere on my old drive

RL was very different before SL. I treated for breast cancer successfully and got over the chemo fatigue in about 2 years.

I had been involved with a science fiction convention here in my hometown for around 15 years. Did everything from secretary, treasurer, sold program book ads, publicized us at the visitors center and telephone book, hospitality,vice-chair, chair, programing head, Board of Directors,and helped out in anything I could.

Loved working at B.Dalton's until our parent company built another Barnes & Noble in my town and decided to close us. Lol, I was the expert in science fiction.

Right now I'm starting my spring cleaning to clear out some space. Time to recycle by donating to charities or our local civic theater. I'm also going to have a de-cluttering yard sale at a friend's place, I'm not allowed to have yard sales here at my apartment building.

Before I came to SL I was not into computer games or 3D worlds at all. OK, I'd looked at some and I quite liked Gran Torismo 4 on PlayStation, but I was not addicted to anything. I just played about on the net in general and I did quite a bit of writing, which has fallen by the wayside.

Whatever it was that I did before SL, it sure was not painting my eggs

I did a lot of the same things I do now... singing in a choir (a real one not a euphemism, lol), volunteer work, paid work...

What I do much less of since SL is sit in front of the TV and read... Ok, TV I can do without, but I do sometimes miss the books.
