From time to time I have given presents to people who visit my cafe, either distributed to visitors on the premises or attached to group notices. I have given out a few fun freebie toys, and on one occasion an object of my own creation.
I am planning a special event and I want to have a nice gift to offer everyone on the occasion. The trouble is that I am not a skilled builder and I don't think I have the ability to make something nice in time for the event.
So, I would like to buy a nice object - a toy, a decoration, or something of that nature - that I can copy (or have multiple copies of) and give away to my patrons at my special event. Does anyone know of a creator who specializes in this kind of door prize or giveaway?
I know there are permissions issues - I expect to have to pay a premium either to get multiple transferable copies of the object I want to give away, or pay for a license to give away no-transfer copies of the object.
I suppose I can find some suitable inexpensive, transferable item and then just buy as many copies of it as I anticipate needing. But if there's a vendor who specializes in this and maybe sells packs pre-loaded with multiple copies, or other conveniences to make this easier, I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks!

From: 3Ring Binder i'll come inworld and have a little chat with you. Haha, thanks! I won't be in world until this evening - 5:00 SLT at the very earliest. Actually I'd be willing to talk to any creator who might be interested in striking a deal with me on this matter.

Madhu - consider taking a class to create an object....or grab a tutorial at Tutorials 2 Go. This way you get the notes on the tutorial and you make the permissions. In addition, you can texturize the object to make it very much your own.

Thanks MoxZ, but as I stated at the beginning of this thread I am looking to buy a gift for this particular event, not to build something. I have rudimentary building skills - after all, I built a cafe and a fair fraction of the items in it - but for the event I am planning now I'm not looking to build my own gift. That's why I posed my question.

I might be able to help you out. I'm not sure what kind of gift you're looking for...if you have a theme in mind.....but if you haven't solved your dilemma yet, IM me.

Well, whatever you decide to go with, it should definitely be blue. I always wish I was able to give more to those who host parties or evenings , or who take the time to make me feel welcome. It must be a lot of work getting things ready, streaming music, etc. I was thinking about this when reading the other thread on contests and such. It is the opposite for me, I don't think I deserve a prize just for showing up or being present, or even getting into the theme of the night. I once won second place in a costume party/dance, and I was just happy (and a little embarrassed) to be mentioned, I split the money between the venue and the DJ. They're the ones entertaining me!

I'd imagine there might be a few. If I had anything suitable I'd send it your way, as it's great free-publicity to give out simple items that get people interested in your own store, as well as providing a reward for your event =)

A gift certificate is also nice - and transferrable. Maybe some stores will give you a group-rate on some. If you like you can contact me and I will give you some free tranferrable gift certificates for people that want to learn how to DJ.

And you're the kind of guest most club owners would love to have! I get somewhat irritated when someone is the sole entrant in a contest and they automatically win...and then don't even bother to tip my host, my DJ or even the venue. *sigh* Sometimes, club ownership just bites...other times, it is SO much fun
