Everytime i log in to Second Life, my friends list says loading, and even the occasional hippo. At least until someone logs in or out. Is there anyway to work around this? Or do I have to stick to checking my calling cards?

If it says (waiting) or (hippos) there is a workaround. Under the list you'll find check boxes for the currently-selected friend. Un-check the first of these and then re-check it. The list should refresh itself.
FWIW, (hippos) means the same thing as (waiting). They just randomly decide to print (hippos) instead of (waiting) now and then.

Apparently that workaround no longer works with the 1.19 viewers, or is it just me?
