Hi gang... happy 'balated' Thanksgiving!!!

I was away at my brothers for TG so haven't been on for a week and it seems I no longer have any sound at all in SL. A friend just told me she'd had the same bug and it turned out to be something in her Windows control panel that was muted. Anyone got any ideas as to what that is? I've just downloaded the WL update.....but I'm not getting audio in any version...and all my preferences are set properly. I'm stumped.

Ok...well dam...she's right.....if anyone has this issue.....the audio was muted in my 'control panel' settings which is just bizarre....but that's the problem. I haven't been on this puter in a week (nor has anyone else unless my cat figured it out) so this is a shout out.....if you're running windows and this happens.....check your control panel! We have ghosts in the machine!!! LOL

Hi Milla

Without knowing the details of your system - are you getting sound on any other applications? If so, it's likely to be something in your SL preferences that's glitched - I assume you've tried checking and unchecking the various boxes? If that doesn't work, try reinstalling the client.

If you've no sound at all, then you need to access the Windows Control panel and look at the Sound page - again, something may have become glitched. There's been quite a few Windows updates recently, so something may have changed without your noticing it.

Hey, consider yourself lucky... I got back from TG break to a dead power supply (I hope it's just the power supply) - It was working fine, I powered it down for the week and now it won't come up again... argh! :(

You'd be surprised at what cats can do when they put their minds to it.

I had this yesterday in windlight no sounds at all none in SL no mater what I set.
no url music no footsteps no wind.

but SL has been a complete mess for 3 weeks now and I normally have 0 crashes 0 issues besides a small bit of lag at sim borders.
