Gestures hotkeys config file?

I am sorry if this has been asked many times before, but I couldn't find a posting about it.

I am trying to locate the configuration file that contains the keys I bound to my gestures. I prefer to edit my configuration without the SL viewer running.

A gesture's hotkey is part of the gesture asset, and the list of active gestures is returned in the login response--I don't think you can edit any of it offline.

I already feared an answer like that.

I wonder why they prefer to store that information at the server-side?

Wouldn't it be more logical and convenient to include these settings in keys.ini ?

One reason is for script control. The gesture and the key to activate it are all part of the same thing. You put on an avatar with gesture controls, it binds your F keys to the gestures for that avatar. Put on a different avatar with different controls, you get THOSE gestures instead.
