I would like to get an Opensim at a specific location that would join my partner's current sim. Is that possible? Anyone know who I could contact that might be able to help?

The location I want is currently empty.

Do mean an OpenSpace sim? (the low-prim version of a full sim provided by LL)? or do you mean an OpenSim as in the stanbe-alone sim that you can run on your own server?

If you mean an OpenSpace Sim, I think the rule is that you have to own a full sim, and then can put your OpenSpace sim adjacent to that. So your partner would have to buy it and place it and then just let you pay the fees.

If you truly mean an OpenSim, then it's not possible, no. The grid that SecondLife is on is only for LL-bought sims.

Hopefully one of those answers your question :-)

yes and during the purchase state he will be asked to grant permission to connect his island with yours

if you split, you will have to pay relocation costs to seperate them

OpenSpaceSim and regular sim do not have to have the same owner. Just consent that they are neighbouring.

yes but keep in mind that the person buying the openspace sim and paying the tier to LL does have to own at least one regular sim, offcourse you can have someone else buy and pay tier on an openspace sim for you, I and many others offer this service.
