you should find a place where you are allowed to drag things from your inventory to the ground. You can use the search button and look for a sandbox if the land you are not currently standing on does not allow building. Then drag the item from your inventory to the ground, right click on it and select Open from the pie menu. That should do it, and when in doubt, there are some fantastic "how to's" out there. Here is one to get you started. Welcome and good luck!

Once you have it out of the box and try to wear it, you'll probably have to adjust the placement due to differing sizes in avs. Right-click and choose edit to do this. If it appears inside your av's body, you may need to attach it to a different body part and adjust it away from the body, then re-wear on the original attachment point and adjust again.

That link doesn't work for me. None of the links to knowledge base articles work for me. Do they work at all? I'm using FF 3 with Greasemonkey and Strife's script.
Here's a link to a Torley tutorial on how to open a box: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzFNWkM0pWU . Here's the wiki page with video tutorial links: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Video_Tutorials and the quicktips: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Video_Tutorials/Quicktips There's some good info for new users at those places. _____________________

Someone pointed this out to me the other day when I posted a knowledgebase link, the links are a per session link for security purposes so other people won't be able to use them. However I've seen knowledgebase links that work on the blog so there is a workaround but I'm not sure what it is or if us mere mortals can use it. |

Does the OP's name make anyone else go, "Hmmmm"?

well foot. That and the html links are turned off on these threads, so one has to copy/paste them into the window anyway. Well, Christina feel free to IM me in world, I have a great set of places where you can learn all about SL and so forth.
