Group Land Rental Question

I purchased the rental land and then later put under group name. My group cannot edit the land, I seem to be the only one who can. Any suggestions of what I might be missing in order to have my whole group be able to edit the land.

Thanks!

Give them the power to do whatever in the group roles & abilities under the members & roles tab.

They are assigned as owners and I do see list of responsabilities, but how are these responsabilities changed in group?

Thanks for your help!

Have you deeded the land? Setting it isn't enough.

Some more details about the problem

I'm the member of Callie Oh's group that can't access the features in "About Land". Here's the way everything is set up, to help narrow down what might be wrong:

1) Callie Oh is set as land owner
2) The land has been deeded to her group (we'll call it "The Group";)
3) I was sent an invite and joined The Group
4) Once I joined, Callie Oh set my role to "Owner"
5) All the normal owner rights are selected under the roles tab
6) I am wearing the activated The Group tag

Even with all of this, I can't edit or change the tabbed info in the "About Land" dialog box, can't perform terraforming, etc. Callie can do both.

From what I can see, everything is set up for this to work properly, but simply doesn't. Any other insights?

I would strongly caution against giving anyone else but yourself some of those abilities, like under the "roles" category, putting the land for sale, etc. You probably don't want to arbitrarily give anyone else the role of "owner," unless its your own alt.

If Callie Oh is still showing as land owner then the land hasn't been deeded. It should say group owned.

It may just be a latency issue. I had bought land recently that when I was subdividing and attempted to re-join certain parcels, I was unable to re-join. Logging back in usually remedied that.

If the estate blocks resell or terraform then nobody will be able to terraform.

If the estate just disallows resell you won't be able to deed it to the group. Ask the estate owner to temporarily allow resell so you can deed it, they can then turn it off again.

I think this may be the answer. The estate does disallow resell, so that might explain why deeding to the group isn't taking (Callie's deeded it numerous times).

Cristalle: We considered the latency issue - logging out and back in - but I've done so numerous times over a period of several days with it making no difference.

We'll contact the land owner and see if they can temporarily allow resell so it can be deeded properly. Thanks for that tip, Ciaran.

You are on the right track with the disallowing resale. My experience with group land on estates is that if you didn't buy it for group outright, you couldn't deed it. Your landlord has to reclaim the land, and then you have to buy it using the buy for group button in About Land, not Buy Land from the pie menu.
