I am ticked to edit objects for a couple of my friends - but I can't get an edit option on the pie menu. I can get the edit option for my own objects, heck for any objects ... but not for objects my friends are wearing, whether I'm ticked or not.

Ive been through my options a few times (no, I dont have 'only my own objects' checked) but ... can anyone tell me what I might have missed?

You can't edit objects another person is wearing, regardless of edit permissions.

you can not edit objects that are being worn by someone else

only on objects worn by yourself

doesn't matter if you have the modify rights to their items or not

Ghosty,

If your friend wants you to edit something of theirs to fit them, and the item is transferable, you can do it this way:

1. Have them send you a copy of their shape.
2. Wear their shape
3. Have them send you the item.
4. Wear it and edit it. Then detach it and return it.

If the item is no-transfer, then your best bet is to walk them through some lessons in editing. Be sure to have them make a backup copy of the item first.

Yeah, this is what I ended up doing. Jeez, what you have to go through just to adjust a lady's necklace. :/ Alright, thanks people.
