Skybox question

I've just rented a Skybox so I have someplace to call "home" and I was told to "make sure to wear that tag to rezz" I'm not sure what that means and was dumb and didn't ask for clarification at the time. Can anyone help, thanks.

Means the landowner has it setup so that only group members can rez (drop and materialize) objects on that piece of land. Helps keep other idiots from filling the land with random junk. Each time, you will need to edit your groups, and highlight, then "activate" the one pertaining to the landowners group in order to add any of your own objects to the land/house/etc.. Activating "none" will remove the group title by your name and put it back to normal when you've finished adding things.

Hmmmm when I click on that group the activate button goes dark? I can activate any other groups I'm in but not that one. Anyone have any ideas of why that might be?

If you are unable to "Activate " that group it is because you are already currently "wearing" or have it activated.

Also - 'rez' means to put things on the ground (in this context anyway - it can also mean waiting for things to become visible.) So they meant that you wear your group tag when you need to put things in your skybox. That's because the land is set to return anything that isn't belonging to a group member.

Also, if you rez something while wearing a different group tag, and catch it in time, you can set the object to the correct group manually:

right-click to bring up the pie menu
click Edit
on the first tab of the Edit menu, there should be fields for Owner, Creator, Group
click the Group button to get a drop-down of all the groups you are in
click the correct group and close the Edit menu.

Voila!

(Personally, I usually notice that I've used the wrong group tag to rez something about the time I get the message, "Your object, "Object," has been returned to your Lost and Found folder due to parcel Auto-return..."
