Is it just me? Have things been HORRID inworld the past couple of nights? I was at Shoe Fly last night and it took no less than 10 freaking minutes for things to rez...most notably a display stand that I put out there. Hubby was in the other room complaining loudly about not being able to TP. OK, both of these sound like maybe it's our internet, but then my SL SO started crashing and complaining of lag - and he's not on our internet. Another friend says they're leaving SL, can't handle the lag anymore. Are these isolated incidents, or is something going on?

Personally I have not experienced lag either on the mainland or on the estate where I work. Other poeple I know of have been complaining of lag recently, in fact I TP'ed over to a friends shop last night to experience it for myself and found no lag. We are with the same ISP and have the same connection speed so couldnt put it down to that. The only difference was I am using an older version of the viewer, he is on the latest version. What I have noticed though is everytime I try to click on the "select texture" window the whole viewer freezes up for about 5 - 10 secs no matter where I am. This is very annoying!

For me it has been dependent on the location. The worst place I have been to was Midnight Reflections. I could barely walk there. Most places I have little or no problem.

Yeah, I've been getting a lot of freezing too, especially if I'm camming around. /me sighs

Yes to the rezzing taking so long, last night was the worst I have ever seen. Also, that problem is back where you are walking or flying and stop, but you just keep going and going and going....

PS Make that a downgrade maybe!

I hear the new RC is supposed to be better for that.

But I have a show coming up, so I've got to figure something out...this lag just won't cut it

I was at Phats the other night and heard more than one splash behind me- so you and I weren't the only ones! Other than that, I have no probs outside- just keep tp'ing me around the castle and i will be fine I do think location has a lot to do with it. In Terminus I do not normally lag, on my castle land I do not lag, in my workshop I do not lag- some places are just laggier than others

Mainland is horrible all the time for me. I do better on private sims.

Don't shoot..but I haven't noticed much at all.
I do have the nvidia display-freeze issue sometimes. But as far as actual lag? Not so much.

The past few days have been noticeably worse than usual. I went to Xstreet SL's headquarters last night and thought they were in the middle of redesigning the sim; for quite a while it looked almost completely bare.

yes...it's widespread. I'm getting some lag on my own, nearly empty sim. And Damselfly last night was almost unusable.
It's got to be something on LL's end...I'm using the RC or 1.21 and seeing it with either viewer. Maybe that inventory "improvement" LL hinted at?

Well seeing as I tried to sign on last night for the first time and received the 'Inventory not Available' error several times, I suspect its a combo of LL and network connectivity. I get lag at my shop when I have 40 avatars milling about -- this is why I try to enforce the 'shop naked' policy -- but purely for the benefit of your fellow shopper.

I sooo hate that... been doing it to me for the last few RC's even on this latest one as for lag, yeah I noticed an increase in lag last night,. just chalked it up to SL
