ok, i used sound forge to create a sound file, it is only 1.74 seconds long, i saved it as:

type: wave (microsoft) (*.wav)
template: 44,100 Hz, 16 bit, stereo, PCM,

save metadate with file

which btw worked for other files ive done, but this one when i go to upload it to sl, it tells me its too long over 10 secs.

Can someone Please tell me what im doing wrong?? im not very familiar with soundforge to begin with and this is just confusing me.

Thank you so much for your help,

Your formatting is correct. I'm guessing the problem is the metadata. Try saving it without any metadata, and see if it works.

Why would you save the meta info anyways? I concur, that's probably the issue.
