Possibly the resizing scripts in the clothes you're trying to put on.

Sounds like there might be gaming, shopping, or some other script calling for multiple texture updates happening on your SIM. There isn't alot you can do about it unless you're the one running those scripts.

Open VIEW>STATISTICS BAR>SIMULATOR

That will tell you a lot of information about your SIM. The main ones I think you would be interested in are....

Time dilation~~~likes to be close to 1.00, that basically means that the SIM's relative time to the client is synced up. The lower that number goes the slower SL will move.

Pending uploads/downloads~~~pretty much self explanatory. Ideally you want to be building or changing clothes in a SIM with zero pending.

Total unacked bytes~~~ tells you how much information is waiting in the server's que to be acknowledged by clients. If this number is high it can effect the performance of the network. A high number is caused by clients connecting with slower internet connections.

Finally time, double click Time to open the time list.

Total frame time~~~ tells you how long each frame is taking to render by the server. 22ms or less and the SIM will be running at 45 FPS. Over 22 ms and the SIM FPS will suffer.
The fallowing time parameters tell you the time per frame that each process is taking.

On Zindra, when you're getting dressed?

Maybe ...

It's all the pervs camming into your room at the same time.

Took a field trip to the sim and watched the sim stats for a while.

May be a coincidence, but this is the second sim with weird lag problems that I've encountered in the past week that's using temp-rezzed physical waves. Even though they're phantom, physics seems to be the only thing that's fluctuating in the sim statistics (other than scripts, which are getting pulled down by physics). Might try making those go away for a while to see if it helps. (If it does: there are *much* better-looking waves available, made from animated sculpted megaprims.)

That said, I can't explain exactly why that should interfere with getting dressed. I can, however, confirm the reported lag: Just taking off and putting a shirt back on here is a major undertaking.

Usually when you change clothing the server has to upload the 'new' texture to you. You are essentially put in a waiting cue behind all those physics calculations. The sim is having constant requests and if you're number 500 in line you might be waiting awhile to receive the entire texture code. Each time you see a little bit of blurriness dissipate you've had a turn in line. Now you have to get back in line and wait some more.

ETA.... The server has to upload that texture to all the viewers that are trying to render your avie too. Wait....wait....wait....wait.....

Total unacked bytes~~~ tells you how much information is waiting in the server's que to be acknowledged by clients.
