Profile Picks Question

My profile picks text allow a maximum of 250 characters, but I have seen picks that clearly have more. Is there a trick I'm missing?  |

you should be allowed 10 picks with 1023 characters each

Even cut-n-paste trims off anything after 250. I must be doing something wrong, because the numbers you are presenting are more like what I'm seeing. |

Is it possible you have hidden characters filling the gaps?
Say you copied something from the web.... and pasted it into picks?
I know this limits mine.
I paste into a notecard then into profile if I do something like that....
I dunno, just a thought

hmmm i'm not sure .. here are the limits for your profile tabs .. 1st life seems to cut off at 250 so i'm not sure why it would mess up for your picks: - 2nd Life tab's About field - 500 characters
- Picks tab - 10 picks with 1023 characters each
- 1st Life tab's Info field - 250 characters
- My Notes - 1022 characters

I have a feeling that pasting from word is my problem, and when I put my text in notepad and them to the picks, it will work perfectly. I will be able to try it when I get home. Just knowing the actual limit is very helpful, and thanks to everyone! |

Had this problem when I tried to use word and copy and pasted. Sometimes it would add a bunch of blank lines. Started using Notepad and that helped.
