I just spent the afternoon organizing my inventory. A little time this evening cleaning up some loose ends. Somehow I have wound up with a black (in color, totally) head. I have tried going in and out of appearances, and it clears up in appearances, but when I close, the black returns. I have signed out of SL a couple of tiimes, and it's still black. I have teleported to three or four different sims, but it's the same everywhere I go. The rest of the avatar looks normal.
How in the name of holy St Francis does something like this happen? How can I go about getting it fixed?
Further inspection shows thaat it is ony on one skin. But it is on both copies of that skin. I
guess I'll IM the place where I bought the skin. If anybody thinks of anything else I'll follow it.
How do I locate the name of the owner (ARSNOVA) so I can IM that owner to report this problem. I don't know where to look for that name, or how to find it.

Did you try control-alt-R?
I have had this problem before and I don't think its an issue with the skin. More like an issue with my super-old computer. |

Try to rebake your texture.
Enable your advanced menu with *Control* *Alt* and the *D* key. Then go to *character* in the advanced menu and *Rebake Textures* or Control Alt R |

Another thing to take into consideration is, using a dual monitor can cause this as well. If you are switching between monitors at any time your texture cache can trip out after you relog, and either make parts or all of your body, solid black.. Switching back to your main monitor and clearing cache can do wonders.

i think micheal jackson just did pigment injections but this process will take time
actually i had same kind of problem a while back and my av had shorts on and from the waist down i was solid white. the only thing that worked was what Terry10 said , but the thing is i had to keep doing it over and over to get it to take effect. so u may have to keep doing it over untill it works gl |
